Sheinfeld was well-known in Bnei Brak as a paragon of loving kindness and helping his fellow men. He ran a Gmach (free loan organization) called Achim Letzarah for all people who had to sit Shiva and provided them with all of the necessary requirements including chairs and Aron Kodesh, Siddurim and other items, and would bring the items for free and take them back after the Shiva.
Sheinfeld’s friend Rav Zvi Chasid, the director-general of ZAKA in Tel Aviv, said that “Rafi was one of the pillars of our organization, always involved in Chesed (kindness) towards the dead and the living from morning to night. We are in shock at his passing at the peak of his life’s work.”
