WASHINGTON (AP) – The government’s top infectious diseases expert is cautioning that the U.S. will have to deal with “a whole lot of hurt” in the weeks ahead due to surging coronavirus cases. Dr. Anthony Fauci’s comments in a Washington Post interview take issue with President Donald Trump’s frequent assertion that the nation is “rounding the turn” on the virus.

Fauci says the U.S. “could not possibly be positioned more poorly” to stem rising cases as more people gather indoors during the colder fall and winter months. He says the U.S. will need to make an “abrupt change” in public health precautions.
Speaking of the risks, Fauci says he believes Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden “is taking it seriously from a public health perspective,” while Trump is “looking at it from a different perspective.” Fauci, who’s on the White House coronavirus task force, says that perspective is “the economy and reopening the country.”
In response, White House spokesman Judd Deere says Trump always puts people’s well-being first and Deere charges that Fauci has decided “to play politics” right before Tuesday’s election.
Deere says Fauci “has a duty to express concerns or push for a change in strategy” but instead is “choosing to criticize the president in the media and make his political leanings known.”
Fauci has said that in his decades of public service, he’s never publicly endorsed any political candidate.

Thats correct. There are two perspectives. Public health stemming from covid and the consequences stemming from the answer to addressing that public health vis draconian solutions and medications that make the cure worse than the disease. Fauci is correct in his suggestion since his job is to deal with the covid spread and not the other consequences. A president has to take the big picture into account. Now you have to ask yourself this, is it feasible to lock yourself up for another year? What’s life worth if for years on end you need to live in basement? Yes for a few weeks ago, but at a certain point it is what it is. It ain’t fun but deal with it.
Let me add one more twist, Fauci experience has been dealing with Aids. Now sit back and think a second, what if Fauci’s cure to Aids would have been , social distance. I mean hey lets keep it tznuis but we all know that Aids is primarily spread via social contact. The simple cure would be social distance to a lower degree than the current one. Yet that was never suggested. He really has no experience in administrating this kind of cure.

Faucci lost all his credibility to me when he told Tapper on CNN that Trump should remove his campaign add where Faucci is seen praising Trump to some extent. After I saw that video, it’s pretty obvious that he is biased. He is simply enjoying his 15 minutes of fame.

It is great to see someone eminently respectable like Dr. Fauci who served under republican and democrat presidents and admirably so, to acknowledge that Biden is someone who can take serious matters seriously. Every intelligent thinking person knows to vote for Biden. Sad there are so many that take there marching orders from entertainers like Hannity and Tucker, who have numerous times when taken to court have stated that they are just engaging in rhetoric and opinion and not claiming to be expressing facts. Hopefully the thinking of us will prevail over those supporting ignorance and ignoring the rise of white supremacy and ignoring violence in Trump’s name (e.g. Trump supporters in one of their Car Rallys trying to drive a bus off the road… eerily reminiscent of the growing organized political violence that became prevalent in Germany in the 1930’s).
If Trump really put peoples well being first he would not have rallies with unmasked supporters sitting without social distancing. A study released today attributes 700 deaths to Covid contacted or spread through the Trump rallies.
