Netanyahu Pictured With Millionth Person Vaccinated -Who Turns Out To Be Convicted Felon

JERUSALEM (VINnews) — Prime Minister Netanyahu made a special trip Friday to the Arab town of Umm Al-Fahm in northwestern Israel in order to take a picture with the millionth person to be vaccinated in Israel. Netanyahu’s goal was not just to celebrate the milestone but also to woo Arab voters prior to the upcoming elections. In the past few months Netanyahu has been attempting to persuade a part of the Joint Arab List to join the Likud party and the government and he has seen some progress in negotiations with the Ra’am faction. Netanyahu even said this weekend that he would consider appointing a Muslim minister in his next government, an unusual milestone for what is considered an anti-Zionist party which in the past refused to have any say in government.

However the choice of millionth person to be vaccinated ended up embarrassing the prime minister, since the 66-year-old man, Mohammed Abd-el-Wahab Jabarin, was discovered to be a convicted felon who had spent time in prison for robbery and illegal possession of firearms. The media originally mistakenly reported that Jabarin had been convicted of murder, but he denied this emphatically and stressed that he had never been involved in murder and added that since 1992 he has no criminal record.

What’s the problem then? If they haven’t been convicted of anything in almost 30 years then the penal system worked. Why punish them more than if they’ve been good since? No difference than reminding a Baal Teshuva of the past actions from years back.
