NEW YORK (VINnews) — New footage released by Italian television company Tg3 shows the last moments of the cable car journey which ended in tragedy last month after the cable car failed to dock in its docket, fell backwards 150 meters and then plunged 20 meters into the mountain below.

The footage shows clearly the cable car as it reaches the station at the top of the mountain, with people visible in the car and then suddenly plunging backwards down the wires until it falls down.

14 people died in the tragedy, including 5 Israeli members of one family. 5-year-old Eitan Biran survived the accident which took the lives of his parents, grandparents and brother and he is recovering in Pavia where his aunt lives.
