NEW YORK — New York City will begin requiring proof of COVID-19 vaccinations on Tuesday for anyone wanting to partake in much of public life including dining at an indoor restaurant, working out at a gym or strolling through a museum.

The list of public venues widened Monday, as Mayor Bill de Blasio moved forward with an unprecedented move by the country’s largest city to goad more people into getting vaccinated and control a pandemic that has wrought havoc on the economy and people’s day-to-day lives.

While the new requirement goes into effect Tuesday, enforcement won’t begin until Sept. 13 to give the public and employees more time to receive at least the required first shot.

De Blasio first announced the new initiative Aug. 3, but on Monday the mayor further clarified how the new rules would be rolled out — revealing that the list of establishments that would come under the vaccination mandate would be far wider than first thought.

Establishments that don’t comply could be fined.

As of Monday, the city reported that 5.2 million of the city’s 8.8 million residents have had at least one shot of a vaccine, with 4.7 million fully vaccinated.

I know someone who waited for years to have a baby. She’s finally pregnant and won’t take the shot, she already had Covid anyway.
Now she can’t go out to eat??

The more problematic issue is going to be targeting of Jews- especially since our lovely dictator included wedding halls in his mandate

I’m not against the vaccine and people at risk should probably go and get it
But mandates are plain flat out wrong
Many people have a right to worry about it
It’s new, experimental , no long term data. Some people are pregnant , some people have health issues including previous strokes or clotting issues, or maybe they had cancer. (I know people in each of those situations who don’t want the vax) They are scared and it’s their business to vax or not vax based on what they and their doctors think.
They should not be excluded from “all of NY has to offer” because of a health choice. If they had a serious reaction there is no recourse, no liability. Nobody is going to pay their bills or give them compensation. So why should they risk it?

The lambda covid variant is currently spreading globally. This variant is resistant to covid shots (and so will likely many newer variants, if not all), which never worked like effectively in any case. So what will the sheep do? They will still be the power hungry DeBlazio’s mouth piece regardless if these so-called vaccines are effective or not.

The time for this has come. The current spike is clearly the epidemic of the unvaccinated.
The anti-vax moonbats do have the right to refuse the vaccine. And nobody is going to force them. But the rest of us should not be subjected to sharing space with those who refuse to take precautions against the deadly disease.
