JERUSALEM (VINnews) — During the course of security activities and arrests of wanted terrorists in the Balata refugee camp near Shechem, Palestinians opened fire at IDF troops and rioted, throwing blocks and items from rooftops at the IDF force.

In a similar situation last year, Staff Sergeant Amit Ben Yigal of the Golani Reconnaissance Battalion, an only child, was killed by a block hurled from a rooftop in a Samarian Arab village. Thus, when troops identified a youth holding an item on a rooftop which he intended to throw at them, they opened fire, killing a 17-year-old youth.
The youth is no less a terrorist due to his age, nor is he less culpable. Yet the Haaretz newspaper chose a number of ways to portray the youth, Amed Hashash, as an innocent child caught in warfare between soldiers and terrorists. The Haaretz headline read: “15-year-old Palestinian killed by IDF gunfire in Balata refugee camp.” Besides distorting his age- given by other news outlets as 16 or 17, Haaretz chose not to call him a “terrorist” or to silhouette his actions against IDF soldiers. Other Israeli sites, including Mako and Ynet, did not hesitate to call the child a terrorist in their headlines.
However even more egregiously, the Haaretz newspaper had a possibility of publishing two different pictures of the youth. In one picture, he is an innocent youth wearing a sports jersey. In the other he is holding an M-16 rifle, ready for action against the hated occupiers. Haaretz, true to their narrative, chose the former picture.
That’s not an AK-47, it’s an M16.
Haaretz like all leftist news orginizations is anti osrael and pro terrorists, like the NYT, WaPo and the rest always side with the terrorists and against Israel.
A terrorist that killed Jews….
Ha’aretz is know for its very liberal pro Arab and anti Jewish outlook.
It once was the top newspaper in Israel, but has fallen considerably due to its insistence on adaptation of the decedent American liberal valueless values.
