Masked Men Pelt Stones At Arab Cars In Sheikh Jarrah

JERUSALEM (VINnews) — In an apparent act of revenge for the stabbing attack on Moriah Cohen which occurred on Wednesday in the Nahalat Shimon neighborhood adjacent to the tomb of Shimon HaTzadik, a group of masked men stoned Arab cars in the adjacent neighborhood of Sheikh Jarrah, including one in which the driver was sitting in the car.

Masked men throw stones at Arab cars

The men escaped afterwards despite attempts to pursue them and also caused damage to other cars in the neighborhood. Police arrested two 16-year-old Jewish youths on suspicion of involvement in the attacks.

Tensions are running high in the neighborhood after the teenage attacker of Moriah Cohen was apprehended by police, although she denies involvement in the attack.
