MANHATTAN (VINnews) — It’s official. Julia Haart, star of Netflix’s “My Unorthodox Life”, has filed for divorce after 3 years of marriage.

TMZ website has obtained court filings showing Haart filed for divorce in New York on Wednesday from husband Silvio Scaglia.

The incredible thing is, as recently as last week the couple posted pictures on social media, smiling together and looking happy and content. This confirms that their “happy” unorthodox life is a fraud and a sham, filled with sheker.

As reported on VIN News, rumors of the split-up began to circulate last December.

According to Page Six in the NY Post, the break-up is going to be one of the themes that the show will focus on in upcoming Season Two.

This development is quite significant, considering that Ms. Haart made it her mission to portray being a frum Jew as a life of unhappiness and restriction. She prances around, pretending that she has achieved true happiness, by abandoning the Torah derech.

Now it’s been exposed as a sham and a fraud. Her “happy and fulfilling life” is empty and fake, her marriage is clearly a failure, as is likely much of her family life.

That’s the part of her “reality” which her show does not portray.

The Haarts were married in 2019, after working together at the La Perla company–Silvio was CEO and Julia was creative director.

A source says that although they continue to work together, in business and on the show, they are currently living separate lives.

Several weeks ago, Haart’s daughter Batsheva and her husband, Ben Weinstein, decided to divorce after nine years of marriage.

They announced the decision on social media, saying: “After time and consideration we have made the decision to separate. We have so much love and respect for each other but have realized that it is time to take time, space to ensure that each of us live the most joyous, fulfilling lives possible.”

This is Julia’s second marriage. Before she abandoned the Torah derech, she was married to the father of her four children.

Good news. Maybe now women who were jealous of her fake lifestyle will wake up. This woman left a good frum stable husband and destroyed her family with her bad character. Her character is so corrupt that no normal man could live with her. Maybe she will wake up and do tsuvah.

this woman really suffers from mental illness and narcissim to the extreme coupled with her obvious eating disorders and the like she not only destroyed 2 marriages of her own but her daughters, her son is OTD, other daughter literally is crazy and confused and now working on destroing her youngest last frum one, maybe this big feminist who had this job solely because of her husband will need to get a real job that pays $15 an hour.

Nebach, she was chasing something. Found nothing. And lost everything.
Hopefully she’ll return to yiddeshkeit. It’s never too late.

“After time and consideration we have made the decision to separate. We have so much love and respect for each other but have realized that it is time to take time, space to ensure that each of us live the most joyous, fulfilling lives possible.”

This is the most ridiculous and contradicting statement ever.. you dont part from someone when you have so much love and respect for them…

This is not to take away from the need to be frum. But just pointing out that this article assumes, divorce means an unhappy life for a goy with no kids involved. The secular mentality is that you still get along and just want to try something new. Its like switching jobs. Obviously, this is not the jewish way to look at marraige and morally wrong. But who says this means she is “unhappy”? Maybe she still loves her secular life and is very “happy” just she wants new?

…בִּנְפֹ֣ל אֽוֹיִבְךָ אַל־תִּשְׂמָ֑ח
We don’t need to see someone suffer to know that the Torah way is correct.
No one can ever harm us and if you fear that someone like her could, chas v’shalom, you need to check your emunah… So stop attacking her and move on

For the very rich, divorce is not such a soul destroying and financial disaster as it is for the rest of us. She will have another man in her life in time for series 3.

Making a big stench over this woman, who not one person here knows, and gloating about this great victory for frumkeit is a total contradiction of the derech Torah.

maybe she is divorcing him because he burned her food.

according halacha a man can divorce his wife for any and all reasons – even if she “hikdeach es tavshilo”.

she might be applying this same logic to “a woman can divorce her husband for any and all reasons”. seems to me she is Frummer than us. following halacha.

I think this is a very generalizing piece of journalism. There are people who abandon a frum lifestyle and still have a fairly stable home and family life. I hear a defensive “I told you so” attitude in the language of this article which is not helpful nor fair. Let her have her struggles and it doesn’t have to mean frum people are bad, or we were right and she was wrong. (Why is there an “us” and “them” anyway??)

I had. Zero problem that she became otd people have יצר הרעה that’s ביןאדם למקום what bothered me was she dragged and messed up all her kids for no reason and worst that she came out with unorthodox to bash our community and core values juifor the fame she doesn’t or didn’t need the money she owns a $68M penthouse but there’s many ways u can look at it and make statements
Bottom line is she’s no where close to end her marriage cause she still owns 50% of the company not sure if the 2 Bentleys and drivers is part of it
2) the Netflix second part of the show was supposed to play that she was fired from her job and getting divorced …. So in fact she set her own trap בדרך שאדם רוצה לילך מוליכים אותו but this Italian mans יועצים told him to pull the trigger and played it out in real live …. Now there’s no 2 session because the milk got sour (unless she turns back and shows Netflix how u can come back ונהפוך הוא and from un-orthodox to on+orthodox But the revenues in Louis Vuitton for sure is dropping going forward

For everyone out there gloating, it’s an ugly look. Are you really showing your Torah values? Do you think Hashem is proud of you? Sometimes marriages don’t work out – within the frum community and outside it. It’s not the 1950s anymore where people need to suffer in silence. Divorce is okay.

I was happy for her
She is a human being that was obviously suffering I hope she finds happiness and fulfillment in everything she does
I might not agree with her lifestyle choices and her portrayal of the frum community but I also never lived her life and can’t know what she has gone through nobody can
I wish her well and welcome her with open arms back to the fold

Why does everyone need to be a frum person? For this person being frum wasn’t for her. Live and let live. It’s more important to be human then it is to be frum.
