After Gravesite Of Leader Revealed, Lev Tahor Consider Transferring His Remains To Another Country

NEW YORK (VINnews) — The secret burial site of Shlomo Halberantz, leader of the Lev Tahor cult who drowned in 2017 in a Mexican river, is causing concern to members of the cult, who fear that the Guatemalan government will discover the illegal burial site and exhume the bodies to a Christian graveyard. The cult is therefore considering transferring the body of Halberantz and his daughter who is buried near him, as well as that of a third member of the cult, to another country.

The secret gravesite in Oratoria, Guatamala, is known as the Beis Hachaim for members of the cult, who gather there every Rosh Chodesh to pray and leave notes at the site. The cult did not build a tombstone because the site is illegal and they do not want to attract government attention to it. Currently the cult are seeking an alternative place to live and will take the graves with them if they leave.

A member of the cult described to the Kikar Hashabbos site the death of their leader: “The rebbe went into the water when the river was calm but suddenly there was a strong current due to previous rainy days. The rebbe went while holding a rope while his gabbai was holding the other side but the rope got detached and the rebbe was swept away. We only found him later further down the river. He had died after sustaining a head injury.”

Near the tomb members of the cult have built a makeshift fence and a place for candles and tried to keep its place secret but Kikar Hashabbos obtained some pictures of the site:

How do the cult members expect to dig up 3 bodies and ship them overseas without the government of Guatemala or the receiving country noticing?

The safest place for a heretic and abusive member of Lev Tahor – underground.

Why is everyone attacking the dead. Burning books at walders grave. Looking to destroy the buried body of helbran. I guess people have run out of fighting with the living so they need to fight the dead. Incredible

Let the old bones rest. I never understood this desire to disturb graves. Put a fence around the site and make it Guatemala’s official cultist cemetery.

The Guatemalan authorities should do exactly as it is said they plan to do. Surely they can easily identify this site. Send in tractors to turn it over.

Anybody looking at his picture can immediately see his pureness. The refined smile and gentle gaze.. he was a big tzaddik.
