CITY HALL (VINnews) — Mayor Eric Adams is blaming the media for distorting his record. What’s more, he is suggesting that white reporters are treating him unfairly because of his race.

At a Tuesday news conference, Adams went on an epic tirade, blasting reporters, despite the fact that they were hand-selected by his office to cover the event.
Adams told the nearly all-white group of journalists, “I’m a black man that’s the mayor but my story is being interpreted by people that don’t look like me. How many blacks are on editorial boards? How many blacks determine how these stories are being written? How many Asians? How many East Asians? How many South Asians? Everyone talks about my government being diversified, what’s the diversification in the newsrooms?”
Adams also accused the reporters of “writing through your prisms” before adding: “Diversify your newsrooms so I can look out and see people who look like me.”
One day after he failed an attempt to convince lawmakers in Albany to fix the bail reform mess, Adams claimed that the reports about his trip were not fair.
“If you want to acknowledge or not, I have been doing a darn good job and we just can’t live in this alternate reality,” he said.
He also threatened to stop taking questions if this treatment continues, saying, “I’m just going to come in and do my announcements and bounce.”
He added, “I’m trying to figure out – do you guys already write the stories before I do something and just print out what you’ve already written?”
Always play the race card. It is the only one the Democrats have when they get some non fawning press coverage or some mild criticism.

Blacks always playing the race card. Reporters were disgusting to Donald Trump. White reporters, Black reporters, Hispanic reporters, all of them were absolutely unfair to Trump. . All I see on TV lately is shows featuring Blacks. What happened to the Whites on tv? Did they fall off the universe? The commercials feature Blacks in the main roles. Nobody is complaining, but that’s the reality. I don’t see Whites complaining about the alternate universe, only the Blacks. Blacks are approximately 22% of the country. Whites are still a majority. You wouldn’t know that if you watched television. I refused to believe Adams would play the race card. I thought he was better than that. I was wrong. Every time a Black person has a problem it becomes a racial issue. After milking it for so long, never owning up to failure for any reason, always blaming race, no one listens. Enough with this nauseating nonsense already.
