BE’ER SHEVA (VINnews) — The two heroes from Tuesday’s horrific terror attack had their guns seized by police, despite their fears of a revenge attack.

After two brave Israelis shot and killed the terrorist who murdered four people and seriously wounded two others in Be’er Sheva, they were brought to the police station and their guns were taken to be examined by forensic experts, which apparently is normal protocol.
One of the men who lives in the Shomron feared for his life at the thought of returning home without his weapon, especially because photos of him killing the terrorist were published online, and his address has been publicly shared.
The man lives in the Chevron hills, and making matters worse, the Bedouins are known for vengeance killing. (The terrorist who was gunned down was Bedouin.)
As can be seen in the video below, when he refused to leave the police station without his gun, the officer insisted that his weapon would stay with the police until they complete the ballistic exam and if he feels unsafe, he can call a private security company to guard his home. The officer also explained that the examination was required by law.
According to reports, the Honenu legal aid organization published the video, leading to widespread anger.
Some media reports have said that the guns have already been returned to the two heroes.
I love Israel but their policies are sickening. If you saw the video he killed the terrorist just as he was lunging at the cop and saved his life and they have the gall to tell him with a straight face, not once but multiple times, to hire security for protection whilst they’re holding on to his weapon.

It’s completely understandable to want to hold the gun while they conduct an investigation. However, they should of also used common sense and given him a different gun to have. Way back when American officers were chasing a fugitive from Alaska that crossed into Canada, the Canadians told them they can’t bring their guns into Canada. Then the Canadians handed over their own guns for the Americans to use.
Going by the clothing, this man appears to be the 2d shooter. I know he didn’t do anything wrong but this does not appear to be thean who took the original shot while being charged.
