The clip was taken by the Bnei Emunim organization which wanted to strengthen the answering of Amein in girls schools belonging to the Chunuch Atzmai network. The clip was shown at an event for principals of schools in the network.
Tamar Lev of Bnei Brak spoke with the head of the organization, Rabbi Mandelkorn, who mentioned that “even Rav Chaim Kanievski and his wife say Birkos Hashachar together every morning.”
Lev said that she was amazed and said that “I wish I could see this. Maybe we could film it and show to the principals? They laughed and said it would be complicated but I persuaded them that it would be the best way to gain chizuk in saying Amen.”
Lev said that at that time “it was unusual to go and film at such an early hour, as the Rav used to daven at vasikin and would say the brachos with his wife beforehand, so the filming took place if I remember correctly at 5 AM.
“We asked the Rebbetzin to film. She was very embarrassed but said she could overcome her embarrassment for the sake of the women of Israel, and this is how it happened, after members of the household persuaded her to comply.”
The clip was shown in Elul 5771 and the Rebbetzin was supposed to attend but didn’t feel well. Unfortunately she passed away just a month later on Chol Hamoed Sukkos and this was a meaningful memory from her,” Lev concludes.
This is awesome!
