If you are an illegal Mexican crossing the border into the U.S., you don’t need to follow Covid rules. But if you’re a US citizen on a flight, or a 2 year old in New York City, you better mask up.

Now that seems pretty hypocritical.
President Biden and the Democrats (aka people of science) pull Covid out of their back pocket when it’s convenient. But Covid goes out the window if it interferes with their agenda.
Airline CEO’s have begged Biden to end the mask mandate on flights, and they insist that airplane filtration systems make it nearly impossible to spread the virus. Yet the administration has refused to budge thus far, and they say the mandate may be extended.
Yet Biden is about to end Title 42, which will allow unvaccinated illegals to cross the southern border and spread COVID around the country.
Title 42 was created to keep illegals out so that they don’t spread COVID. The only rationale to end the policy (other than Democrats’ desire for open borders) is that Covid is no longer a threat.
But if Covid is over, why the mandate on flights? Does the “science” show that only Mexicans and Guatemalans don’t transmit Covid, but everyone else does?

It seems that Covid rules don’t apply to illegals, but they apply to the rest of us. (Which begs the question, do illegals need to wear masks on those secret midnight flights when the government relocates them to residential communities?)
What’s more, Biden just extended a freeze on student loan repayments, in large part due to the Covid pandemic. So Covid is over for illegals, but it’s still intact for people with outstanding student loans.
The “science” always seems to suit the radical Biden agenda. How convenient.
A similar phenomenon is taking place in New York City, where Mayor Eric Adams has lifted the mask mandate on everyone except children below age 5.
A 96 year old unvaccinated person with underlying conditions need not wear a mask, but poor little Billy needs to mask up. How cruel can one be?
To make matters worse, Adams has a double standard when it comes to unvaccinated city workers. He exempted the city’s athletes (such as Kyrie Irving and multiple ballplayers) as well as performers, from the vaccine mandate.
Yet Adams refuses to rehire the NYC workers who were fired for refusing to vax.
Is there any scientific difference between celebrity athletes and NYC workers, many of whom have good intentions but were afraid to vax or were healthy enough not to need it?
This is not about whether one supports vaccines. It’s about being consistent, and following the science, not the money.
The hypocrisy of the Democrats should come as no surprise. They have always used science, and any crisis they can find, to impose extreme restrictions and advance their radical agenda.
As long as there are people testing positive for Covid, it’s a safe bet that Democrats will use the “science” to get their wish list, and ignore it when it becomes a nuisance.
