JERUSALEM (VINnews) — IDF, Shin Bet and Border Police forces were working at a number of locations in Judea and Samaria to arrest suspects involved in terror activities in the region as well as confiscating illegal weapons. The activities over the weekend focused on Qarawat Bani Hassan, the village where the terrorists who shot and killed an Israeli security guard had come from, as well as other villages including Jelazoun, Mirka and Sa-Nour.

The security forces mapped out the houses of the terrorists Sameeh Assi and Yahya Marei who perpetrated the attack in Ariel on Friday night. The houses will then be demolished in accordance with court orders regarding terrorist’s homes. IDF soldiers also arrested another suspect who is accused of assisting the terrorists who were involved in the attack.

During the course of the IDF activity, riots broke out in the Jelazoun refugee camp and tens of rioters threw stones at IDF forces who responded with rubber bullets and other means for dispersing illegal demonstrations.
Five other people were arrested on suspicion of terror involvement and weapons including pistols, hunting rifles and Karlo submachine guns were apprehended.
