MK Itamar Ben-Gvir Receives Death Threats: ‘I’m On My Way To You, My Gun Is Primed, Your Time Is Over’

JERUSALEM (VINnews) — Right-wing MK Itamar Ben-Gvir has been accused by government and left-wing elements of incitement and violent rhetoric. However Ben-Gvir presented in the Knesset Monday proof that currently he himself is suffering death threats from Arab elements, including a specific phone threat targeting him and his family.

A caller describing himself as Abed told Ben Gvir that he was on the way to him, armed with a pistol. The caller, who had an Arab accent, said that “I’m on the way to you, my pistol is primed, I prepared a cartridge of 16 bullets for you. I’m on my way to you, I’ll take care of you, your wife and children. We’ll see how much you will laugh.”

The caller continued, stating that “you will see my gun from close up, my cartridge from close up. I will deal with your wife and children. I’m a policeman myself, who do you want to complain to? You’ve hurt our people too much, your time is over, I’m on my way to you.”

The caller used a phone with ID and Ben-Gvir asked the Knesset security officials to investigate the threat. Ben-Gvir blamed Prime Minister Bennett and Foreign Minister Lapid for the threat, stating that “words can kill. This time it was a threat but the incitement must stop before there is a tragedy.”
