BOCA RATON (VINnews) — Conservative commentator Ben Shapiro on Tuesday hosted a fundraiser for Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis in Boca Raton.

DeSantis started off by praising Ben Shapiro for doing better on social media than the large media organizations, such as the NY Times and CNN.
“He must be doing something right, because he seems to be upsetting the all the right people,” DeSantis said.
He then criticized liberal states, such as California, pointing out how sad it is that even in the greatest country in the world people feel the need to flee where they live in pursuit of more freedom and better policies.
The governor then went on to decry the liberal agenda that saw children home from school for extended periods of time, which had a destructive effect on their development. Whereas in states such as Florida, where students were kept in school as much as possible, the children are showing better achievement.
