The widely-seen video, published by the NY Post, vanished one day before a primetime congressional hearing on the riots which is being conducted by Democrats.
Youtube claimed that the video of an interview with fur-clad Aaron Mostofsky, an orthodox Jew, contained “misinformation.”
“We realize this may be disappointing news, but it’s our job to make sure that YouTube is a safe place for all,” the platform said. “Content that advances false claims that widespread fraud, errors, or glitches changed the outcome of the US 2020 presidential election is not allowed on YouTube.”
There appears to be a double standard, as Youtube has not banned footage of Hillary Clinton claiming that the 2016 election was “stolen” and that Trump was an “illegitimate president.”
The DOJ used the interview as evidence against Mr. Mostofsky who was sentenced to eight months in jail.
“The fact that the interview was cited by other news outlets and used by the DOJ speaks to its importance as a primary source for historians, other journalists and the general public,” said Nico Perrino, a freedom of speech activist.
“The memoryholing of information is a historian and journalist’s worst nightmare. Labeling the expression of certain beliefs ‘misinformation’ to justify removing that expression from content libraries and platforms sets a dangerous precedent,” he added.
Mr. Mostofsky, son of Brooklyn Supreme Court Judge Steven Mostofsky, was wearing a police vest and holding a riot shield inside the Capitol during the interview.
“Can you tell me what you’re doing here today?” the interview begins.
“Well, to express my opinion as a free American, my belief that this election was stolen. We were cheated. I don’t think 75 million people voted for Trump, I think it was close to 85 million. I think certain states that had been blue for a long time had been red and were stolen like New York,” Mr. Mostofsky said.
“And where did you travel from?” The Post asked.
“Brooklyn,” Mostofsky said.
The video had about 200,000 views. Although it was removed from the channel of a reporter, the NY Post re-posted it on the newspaper’s own Youtube channel, following the deletion.
The shield and the other police equipment is what did it. Once that made the news, they weren’t going to let it go.
The overwhelming majority who attended the rally did ABSOLUTELY NOTHING WRONG. Those who entered the capitol violently were riotors. No one that day was an insurrectionist.
8 months jail for some harmless fun? Witch-hunt

Yes the EIGHT BUSES of ‘frum’ Yidden from Boro Park were part of the attempted putsch in DC on Jan 6. How proud we are of them.
