JERUSALEM (VINnews) — In an incredible lifesaving story which occurred Monday morning, United Hatzalah volunteers succeeded in saving the life of a man who was trapped under a truck unconscious.

The 50-year-old man had been riding his e-bike when he was run over by a truck and fell underneath the truck, which was riding on a Tel Aviv street. Fortunately, a worker from a nearby warehouse brought a forklift truck and lifted the truck, enabling the speedy extrication of the unconscious man, who then received lifesaving treatment from United Hatzalah EMTs.
United Hatzalah volunteer Elakal Tzadek said that ‘when I arrived at the scenes, the cyclist was trapped under the truck and was unconscious. A passerby from a nearby warehouse arrived with a forklift truck and lifted the truck and we extricated the rider without a pulse and not breathing.
United Hatzalah medic Tal Ben-Yosef added that “with the help of other EMTs we perfor,ed a resuscitation on site and after the pulse and breathing miraculously returned, he was taken in a Mobile Intensive Care Unit to the hospital in serious condition.”
The resuscitation included assisted ventilation, chest compressions and medications and when the rider’s heart began to beat again, he was taken to hospital in unstable condition.”
