WASHINGTON (AP) — The House Jan. 6 panel says it is calling a surprise hearing on Tuesday to present “recently obtained evidence.”

The hearing comes after Congress left Washington for a two-week recess. Lawmakers on the panel investigating the 2021 insurrection said last week that there would be no more hearings until July.
The subject of the hearings is so far unclear. A spokesman for the panel declined to comment on its substance.
The panel had at least two more hearings planned for July, which lawmakers said would focus on domestic extremists who breached the Capitol that day and on what then-President Donald Trump was doing as the violence unfolded.
I suspect that either Ginny Thomas or Mo Brooks will be testifying. It should be quite interesting.
Seems like an aide for Mark Meadows met with investigators and will be testifying.

They are going to have hearings. They won’t be having hearings. They are postponing hearings. They are having surprise hearings.
The way they found new evidence Trump could have found new votes.
Note: I’m totally not a Trump fan and would be thrilled in the January 6 committee forced him out of public life. But the ends don’t justify the means. The January 6 committee is no more honest or principled than Trump is

And no congress can’t focus on too many things at once. Cmon these guys don’t work over time and by Aug they are out on summer break. they spend almost all day on Jan ^. Don’t you dare lie to me and tell me they have time or are spending time on our economy.
