JERUSALEM (VINnews) – President Biden told Holocaust survivors he met Wednesday upon his visit to Yad Vashem to remain seated, and to not get up for him, instead the President kneeled on one knee, held their hands, smiled and gave each woman a kiss, while wiping a tear.

The President spoke with them for more then 20 minutes, longer than scheduled. As he wrapped the meeting, he said to one of the women. “My mother would say, ‘God love you dear. God love you.’”
The Holocaust survivors, were identified as Rena Quint and Giselle (Gita) Cycowicz.
Cycowicz was born in 1927 in Chust, which was then part of Czechoslovakia. She was rounded up and confined in the ghetto before being deported to Auschwitz-Birkenau, and later to forced labor camps, according to Yad Vashem.
Quint was born in 1935 in Piotrkow Trybunalski, Poland. In 1942, her mother and her two older brothers were deported to the Treblinka extermination camp, where they were murdered. Rena and her father were sent to the Buchenwald concentration camp, where her father was murdered. She was eventually sent to the Bergen-Belsen concentration camp.

This kneeling thing before a woman is not new for Joe.
A little over a year ago, he knelt before Mrs. Rivka Ravitz, chief of staff to previous Israeli President Reuven Rivlin, when learning of her family background. It was reported widely in the media at the time, and can be found easily with a simple search. It was the subject of two posts right here on VIN News then in fact.

I might have appreciated what seemed – at least outwardly – a warm gesture from Biden as he knelt before these holocaust survivors and spoke superficially, warm words with them, if it weren’t for the fact that he kneels before the Mullahs of Iran and makes dangerous deals with them that pose a threat to these holocaust survivors and their offspring, and the fact that he ties Israel’s hands from defending itself against Hamas when Hamas rockets are being launched against Israeli citizens, and the fact that Biden was part of the Obama administration, which, toward the end of its reign, supported an anti Israel resolution in the UN., and the list goes on. But because all of this DID INDEED take place, and because I expect more of the same from Biden in the future, I can not appreciate the Hollywood-style acting job that he put on yesterday before the cameras.

So yes they build the Yad Vashem but they should also teach the kids about how the old time Zionist refused to rescue Jews. That’s part of the Holocaust history.
