Rabbi Edelstein (99) was diagnosed last week with COVID-19 for the second time, after contracting it in January for the first time. Rabbi Edelstein had been extremely careful during the pandemic and always sat behind a partition when meeting with people. All family members and other visitors wore masks around him. Rabbi Edelstein was vaccinated with all four vaccinations and also called on the public to vaccinate, stating that “in the merit of our hishtadlus (perseverance) we will be able to continue our study routines with G-d’s help.”
Family members said this week that Rabbi Edelstein was not feeling the effects of COVID-19 and was continuing his regular schedule but giving shiurim in his home. However on Thursday morning he did not feel well after apparently suffering a mild heart attack and was hospitalized at Maayanei Hayeshua hospital in Bnei Brak.
The public is urged to daven for the recovery of Rabbi Yerachmiel Gershon Ben Miriam.
“Rabbi Edelstein was vaccinated with all four vaccinations and also called on the public to vaccinate, stating that “in the merit of our hishtadlus (perseverance) we will be able to continue our study routines with G-d’s help.””
Such sheker they told him…Hashem yiracheim.
There is no such thing as a mild heart attack. Only fatal and non-fatal. It’s like saying a soldier in Iraq lost both legs to a road bomb but it was a mild amputation.
Refua sheleima!
And r”s to all those who still believe the media that masks and vaccines protect at all!
I wish the Rabbi a complete recovery. and can we all please connect the dots between the covid shot and all these sudden heart attacks and worse???!!!!
Well looks like he wasn’t boosted enough, or two masks wasn’t enough, why did he sit only with one partition, he had to do hishtadlut with three partitions.
