NEW YORK (AP) — New York City police are investigating a crash that killed two men who were thrown from an all-terrain vehicle when it struck a tractor-trailer in Queens. The ATV driver was then run over by the truck, authorities said.

Police said the men were traveling through an intersection toward a Manhattan-bound entrance to the Ed Koch Queensboro Bridge when their ATV hit an oncoming tractor-trailer early Friday.
The 22-year-old driver, a Bronx resident, was pronounced dead at the scene, police said. The unidentified passenger later died at a hospital, police said. Both suffered severe injuries, while the truck driver was not hurt, officials said.
Police did not say whether the men were wearing helmets.
Poor NYPD officers that were accused of chasing these animals and are now suspended pending an investigation. These animals causing havoc on NYC streets and highways must be eliminated. Its like they own the streets when they show up by the dozen.. This lawlessness gotta stop.

I see people riding motor scooters, electric bikes, dirt bikes, mopeds and even motorcycles without license plates. They ride then the wrong way up streets and on sidewalks. They are dangerous an almost certainly uninsured so c’v if they hit someone the injured person will be left to fend for themselves financially.
Also, many criminals ride these vehicles because they cannot be traced and provide a quick getaway because they do not observe any traffic laws or common sense safety.
The police need to crack down on this.
But obviously they won’t because NYC is a lawless zoo where criminals are protected

Thursday night I was driving down 16th ave I had a solid green light and I missed hitting an ebike by a few inches. Then I was driving down 46 th street. A car was double parked I hesitated for a second to go around him That split second saved me from hitting another ebike that was speeding by my car. In all I counted 3 ebikes that went through red lights. But don’t get fooled when the left yells We’ll stop car Violence we’ll stop the car culture, and We’ll make vision zero work.
