WATCH: Good Samaritan Rips Gun Away From Muggers on Motorcycle

NEW YORK CITY (VINnews) — A wild video posted on Instagram shows a fearless good samaritan ripping a gun away from a mugger in Manhattan, while he was attempting to rob a helpless victim.

It occurred this past weekend when the two men on a scooter went on a crime spree. After carrying out at least three other attempted assaults or robberies, they tried to mug a man in broad daylight in upper Manhattan. Big mistake.

“It was like something you see out of a movie. How are they going to try to rob someone in broad daylight?” a witness told the NY Post.

The attackers began chasing a 28-year-old man at Nagle Avenue and Arden Street in Fort George.

As the assailants cornered the victim, one held a gun in his left hand and grabbed the screaming victim by the shirt with his right.

The victim kept yelling for help. The attacker punched him and apparently tried to grab a chain off his neck.

Police say the gunman shot at the victim three times but missed. Seconds later, the good samaritan courageously came from behind and tried to grab the gun away.

The gunman punched the man in the head, but he was able to grab hold of the weapon. A witness said that the victim was assaulted for close to 5 minutes and the video only shows the end of the interaction.

According to police, the vicious thugs have been involved in dozens of crimes since early July. No arrests have been made in the most recent incident.

It is probably no coincidence that woke Manhattan DA Alvin Bragg has pledged to keep many criminals out of jail, and woke Governor Hochul refuses to keep criminals locked up after they commit crimes.
