JERUSALEM (VINnews) — Israeli police released Sunday bodycam footage from the policeman who succeeded in neutralizing the 16-year-old terrorist who stabbed a yeshiva student on Shabbat in Jerusalem, seriously injuring him. The student, a Bnei Brak resident, is now in stable condition, but the family has requested to pray for Eliyahu ben Margalit.

The terrorist fled the scene, running southwards towards the Arab neighborhood of Sheikh Jarrah. A policeman identified him at a soccer field where many children were playing and called on him to stop but the terrorist continued running. At one point the terrorist seemed to pull out his weapon and the policeman – who is apparently Druze or Arab according to his accent – shot him, seriously injuring and neutralizing him.
