Sofer (63) who ran a store in the town of Kedumim, was stabbed by the terrorist when he went into the store in the village of Punduk near Shechem together with his son. Sofer was stabbed several times in the stomach.

Sofer was recovering and had already been released from hospital but his son Lidor said that the injuries suddenly opened up and hemorrhaged, causing his death.

Kedumim regional head Chananel Durani announced that “we are shocked and pained at the death of Shalom Sofer HyD who was murdered by an evil terrorist. Shalom was a kind person, honest and sweet-natured.

“It is incumbent on the new government to cancel all the actions and statements of the previous government which gave hope to terror and to stop all thoughts of concessions to the Palestian Authority”

Prime Minister Yair Lapid wrote that “I received with great pain the news of the death of Shalom Sofer Z’l’, who died of his injuries two weeks after being attacked by a terrorist. In the name of the Israeli government and citizens I wish to send condolences to his family. The vile terrorist was caught the same day and the IDF and security forces will continue the struggle against terror day and night.”

Interesting
Arabs walk and also work safely throughout Israel.
Yet a Jew is not safe in his own Land.
Something has to change.
The Arabs need a serious re educational program.
