WASHINGTON (JTA) – Rep. George Santos, the Long Island Republican whose history of lies about his past included that he was a Jewish descendant of Holocaust survivors, seemed to praise Hitler and joke about killing Jews in a newly unearthed, years-old Facebook post.

In a comment Santos reportedly left under a friend’s post in 2011, the future congressman wrote “hight hitler lolololololololololololol” and “sombody [sic] kill her!! The jews and black mostly lolllolol!!!” A former friend of Santos sent screenshots of the since-deleted comment to Patch Glen Cove. The site confirmed its veracity with the congressman’s former roommate, who also said that Santos used to make jokes about paying the bill at meals, “but he brushed it off saying he was Jewish.”
Santos’ attorney Joseph Murray told Patch the comment “is completely false,” adding, “There is absolutely nothing to talk about.”
The Nassau County GOP has already called on Santos to resign over his lies, which were revealed in a December New York Times investigation published after he won his election, and the Republican Jewish Coalition has said he is no longer welcome at their events. Of particular concern to the local party branch was the congressman’s false claims about his Jewish heritage. Both parties are already lining up possible replacements should Santos step down, including county legislator Mazi Melesa Pilip, an Ethiopian-Israeli Republican.
Waiting for Democrats to pressure Schiff to resign. He claimed he had evidence of Russian collusion and made up a Trump conversation with Zelensky at faux impeachment hearing in the hallowed Congress chamber.
If this idiot of a person really believed he can get away with lying on the campaign trail, not ten years ago but in recent times and not small lies but everything out of his NAARISHA mouth were lies, from being Jewish, all the way through.
Definitely not worthy to represent his lied to, constituents on Capitol Hill. If he has any brains he’ll resign because he’ll be shunned by all the other congressmen and will accomplish ZERO for his district. If he doesn’t resign, his district should work on a RECALL and remove him. One way or another HE NEEDS TO GO. His reckless lies MUST NOT BE REWARDED !!!
I dislike this guy so much and would rather see some other GOP candidate take his place, but all politicians lie.
Biden appointees have spouted worse views more recently.

The House and Senate have traditionally been full of moral, upstanding, honest individuals like the Clintons, Garry Condit, Ted Kennedy, Adam Shiff, Ilan Omar, and of course the very respectable and honorable Anthony Wiener. Santos has disgraced this hallowed body and should resign immediately.
This has crossed a red line. Trump should resign immediately.
He belongs on the House Foreign Relations Committee sitting right next to Ilhan Omar. His not serving on this committee is a threat to national security.
There is no such thing as truth anymore. We need to just ignore these types of reports. There is enough known to get this guy out of office without resorting to deep fakes or other forged accounts.
I think Santos does not belong in Congress. That being said, when claims are made about what he may or may not have done, said, posted, etc. 10 or more years ago, it should be also noted that he was in his early 20s. Nearly everyone does, says, or posts stupid things in their early 20s.
Pathetic how desparate the fake news is to get santos to quit. Give it up. You guys to begin with never thought you’d lose that seat and didn’t even fight to keep it . Now after being caught with your pants down you yell? Too late. And to find stuff from over 10 years ago ? Really ?
You do have one Option which you’ll never do. Work it out so that santos leaves but it stays republican no matter what
