Protesters are expected to march to Bnei Brak from nearby Tel Aviv starting at seven o’clock this evening. Large numbers of police are being deployed from the afternoon hours in order to ensure that protesters and local residents do not have any opportunity to clash.

A police representative told Kikar Hashabbat that, “We are extremely concerned about this march, as it could set the area on fire, so to speak, and descend into physical confrontations. We are aware of a large number of people who intend to reach Bnei Brak in order to escalate things there — from both sides — and we’re not about to allow that to happen. Large police contingents will be securing the march and I hope that it will end without clashes of any kind.”

In the meantime, Rabbi Gershon Edelstein and the rabbis of Bnei Brak sent a strong message to yeshiva students, who have just started the Pesach Bein Hazmanim vacation period, to “stay away from the demonstrations.”

In a call to the Vaad Hayeshivos, Rabbi Edelstein said that “as people who unfortunately are far from Torah have risen up with words of polemic and dispute against those sitting in the Torah centers who are maintaining the world, we call on all yeshiva students to distance themselves from them and not to engage them in conversation in any way, and Heaven forfend that we should go out to the streets and participate in demonstrations.

On the contrary, in these days when we achieved our redemption and their is no redemption greater than Torah study, let them continue to strengthen their toil and diligence in Torah study.”

Local rabbis in Bnei Brak ordered announcements to be posted across the city calling on residents not to engage with the marchers in any way — not to approach the streets where they are passing through, and not to physically confront them.

Letter from Rabbi Sariel Rosenberg and Rabbi Yehuda Silman, rabbis of Bnei Brak

“No one is to be dragged into clashing with them in any way. Each and every adult is responsible for ensuring that his children do not approach the areas where they are congregating. No one is to engage with them or respond to them in any way, whether positively or negatively; no one is to get into arguments with them or cause chillul Hashem [desecration of Hashem’s Name], G-d forbid.”

According to Kikar Hashabbat, the National Unity party headed by MK Benny Gantz will not be participating in the provocations in Bnei Brak on Thursday evening and it has disassociated itself from the event. “We will not protest against an entire sector; we won’t harm the haredi community and we won’t be party to such things,” the Knesset member said.

Protesters called Thursday for a nationwide “day of paralysis”, closing roads and making mass demonstrations across the country against the judicial reforms.

Maybe, Yeshiva bochrim should dance b’simcha on Rosh Chodesh in the streets, as they did around Deri’s house in Yerushalayim.

Atheist Thedore Herzel,Ben-Gourion and the rest Apikorsim did not have in mind to create a Jewish state so that Jews should be able to learn and Daven and observe the Torah freely.
They wanted a state for the sole purpose so that Jews should become full fledge Goyim.

It is high time for Frum Yidden to leave the Zionist state. The hate from secular Jews in Israel toward Frum Yidden is worse than Anti-Semites worldwide.

It is as the Talmud tells us:
גדולה שנאה ששונאין עמי הארץ לתלמיד חכם, יותר משנאה ששונאין אומות העולם את ישראל

Protestors should be barred form entering the city. Freedom of speech doesn’t inlcude disrupting peace and the daily lives of so many innocent people, including women and children tyring to conduct daily lives. The idea of free speech and a right to protest has gone to far. Make believe its the Trump folks who are barred from manahatan
