SHOCKING: Israeli Trying To Enter Jordan Told To ‘Cut Off Your Peyos’

JERUSALEM (VINnews) — Kobi Trabelsi just wanted to take his family for a vacation in Jordan. The Hashemite kingdom has a peace treaty with Israel and many Israelis visit the country, which also has a number of sites holy to Jews including the tomb of Aharon Hakohen.

Trabelsi, who sports long payos, has visited Jordan a number of times in the past as well as other Arab countries, but on this occasion he was stopped by Jordanian authorities at the border. Initially the Jordanian officials told him to hide his payos and those of his children due to the situation in Israel and because they were “concerned for their welfare.”  After hours of waiting at the border controls, the passports were stamped and the family started to advance further, but then they were stopped by a high-ranking official who told them to wait for a further check.

When Trabelsi’s wife tried to remonstrate with the Jordanian official, he told her to tell her husband to “cut off the payos.” In the end the Jordanian’s cancelled the passport stamp and Trabelsi decided to return to Israel. Interviewed on Israel’s Kan 11, Trabelsi described the humiliating ordeal. He stressed that previously when he had visited, he had been welcomed by local residents who related that they also had relatives in Israel. He added that he had visited Egypt, Morocco and other countries and had never been stopped in the past.

Kan 11’s Roi Kais recalled another instance which occurred two months ago when a rabbi travelling to the UAE via Jordan had his Tefillin straps cut by a Jordanian official, claiming that “they could be used to throttle someone”. Kais said that there had not been an official complaint from Israel but said that the Foreign Ministry “is concerned about this.”

I mean they aren’t wrong. Tie them up. That country is full of people that may not be stable around a Jewish family.

Wake up, Neturai Karta, Muslims hate Jews because we are Jewish, irregardless of being Israeli, pro-Israel, or not. One of the motives of that Jordanian born murderess who was involved with the Sbarro Pizza bombing was b’davka to murder frum Jews, because it is frum Jews who truly love and pine for a complete return to Eretz Yisroel. Google Ahlam al Tamimi. She hates Judaism first, irrespective of anything else. To some anti-Zionist Yidden, this is anathema to what they’ve been told. Wake up. These anti-Semitic, pro terrorism Palestinians and others, they cannot accept that we believe in Moshiach who will return all of Eretz Yisroel to us. Never mind, there are some secular Jews who feel the same way. American Jewry, uneducated and so far removed from anything authentically Jewish, are agreeing with these enemies of ours.
