ROCKLAND (VINnews) — Mayor Eric Adams is sharing his influx of illegals with the serene suburbs of Rockland County.

Many local residents and politicians are furious that Adams, who proudly labels New York City a ‘sanctuary city’, would send illegals to communities where they are not wanted.
They also say that he is a hypocrite for engaging in the exact same busing practices for which he condemns and “whines” about Republican governors.
A state of emergency was declared in Rockland in response to the disgraceful decision to shuttle hundreds of illegals to the pristine and comfortable suburban county.
Rockland County Executive Ed Day confirmed that NYC planned to house about 340 adult men in Armoni Inn and Suites in Orangeburg for four months with plans to secure them work permits to integrate into the community.
The town of Orangeburg is less than 20 minutes from Monsey.
Adams’ office confirmed the city will “temporarily” place the illegals at hotels in Rockland and Orange counties. He said they were all single men, and the placements were only the start of a program that the city could expand.
Day on Friday warned Adams not to bus the illegals, calling any plan to do so “absurd” and saying the county “will not stand for it.”
New mattresses were stacked on Friday outside the entrance of Armoni Inn & Suites in Orangeburg.
“This screams out for solutions on the federal level pertaining to our broken immigration system,” said Day, a Republican, referencing the Biden administration.
Day said the plan included short-term funding and services for individuals, but gave no details. No realistic plans had been communicated as to who will house, feed, and support these individuals in the long term, Day said.
Day said Adams was being hypocritical for sending migrants away from his city up to Orange and Rockland counties.
“Mayor Adams is always whining about he and other mayors who are African American have been picked on by Republicans…turn around and now what is he doing? He’s doing the exact same thing,” Day said. “He’s bringing migrants to Republican towns. Orange County, Republican county. Rockland County, Republican county. How interesting is that?”
In addition to the Orangeburg hotel, migrants will also be transported to a hotel in the Orange County town of Orange Lake.
Orangetown Supervisor Teresa Kenny said Friday that Adams had called her that morning to tell her for the first time that the city was considering placing some of the asylum seekers in its care in a hotel in her town.
“I actually said it point blank confirming you’re not asking for permission – you’re calling as a courtesy, and he confirmed that, yes,” she said. “It’s disappointing because we do have a lot of questions.”

Wow. Folks who are warned repeatedly to remember when they were strangers in someone else’s country, whose ancestors faced cruel treatment wherever they went legally or not, now feel free to spew KKK rhetoric including “they’re comin’ for our dottas”! They aren’t “illegals” they are legal asylum applicants.
Let’s look at this as an opportunity. Some enterprising youngsters should figure out a way to use these guys as a manual labour force (landscaping, concrete work, roofing, etc). Given the govt is paying for there housing there income requirements will be lower, all you need to do is transport them to the right location. There are not so many other opportunities right now for them so you are doing them a favour by giving them work/money and you are doing yourself a favour by finding a new source of revenue
NYC is not dumping the immigrants but paying for their housing in Rockland county motels because they have run out of housing for these people in NYC.

What is the great disgrace? Are these people dangerous? Are they a hazard? Do they hurt anyone? How have we become such Sodomites that a stranger is so unwelcome?
Think about what is happening here. Motels that stood empty, suddenly have customers. The owner has more money in his pocket to spend, perhaps to renovate his motel after they leave.
Workers have arrived in town. Very motivated workers, who are willing to do whatever it takes to build up their credit and value. How is that a negative to those who live in the area?
The default idea that a stranger is bad is unbelievably dangerous for a country. Worse than the Iran threat, worse than the threat of wokeism and worse than the threat of global warming. A society cannot survive if people’s default position is that ‘the other’ is coming to take something away from us.

Monsey definitely needs some illegal immigrants or we won’t have goytas nor people to stock our store shelves. In facts goytas are demanding more and more money now . Let there be some competition and an abundance. We need to ban Asian immigrants who take away middle class tech /Corp jobs.
