Ben Gvir has canceled the appearance of Suliman, who is known for the role he played in the “Fauda” series portraying Israeli undercover units in Judea and Samaria, in a Tuesday morning conference the National Security Ministry organized for Arab authorities in northern Israel, due to Suliman’s statements legitimizing attacks on IDF soldiers.
In a past interview, Suliman was quoted as supporting attacks on IDF soldiers in Judea and Samaria: “They have a right to fight and oppose the occupation…a soldier who is in the [West] Bank and someone attacks him – I do not think that is a terror attack.”
“Whoever gives legitimacy to harming IDF soldiers and is not loyal to the State of Israel absolutely cannot receive payment from the State of Israel and perform at National Security Ministry events,” Ben Gvir said. “Not under my watch.”
Another actor in the internationally acclaimed series, Amir Houri, expressed his support for Jenin during the recent IDF operation ther, stating that “Jenin is under heavy attack.” Houri, a Christian Arab from Haifa, was condemned for his comments which appeared to condemn the IDF and support the terrorist entities in Jenin.
