(VINnews) — New York City will distribute flyers at the US-Mexico border, telling illegals to “consider another city.”

In an announcement Wednesday, Mayor Eric Adams’ office said the flyers will seek to “combat misinformation at the border”.
You cannot make this stuff up.
It is not clear if ‘misinformation’ includes the notion that New York City, a sanctuary city, has provided tens of thousands of dollars to each migrant in housing, food, education, and healthcare.
However the flyer does highlight the exorbitant cost of housing, food and other necessities that illegals will (supposedly) encounter if they travel to NYC.
“Please consider another city as you make your decision about where to settle in the U.S.,” it says in Spanish. (It also says the message in English, for those migrants who don’t know Spanish.)
Adams also announced a new plan to give single adult asylum seekers a 60-day notice to find alternative housing. Adams says the city is out of room as 90,000 migrants have arrived since April 2022.
“It’s wrong New York City is carrying the weight of a national problem,” said Adams. (Apparently he is not concerned that Texas carries the weight of a national problem.)
New York is bound by a “consent decree” to provide shelter for all homeless people (although the decree does not specify fancy hotels), and some groups are questioning whether the 60 day notice is legal.

Sure, let Texas and Arizona suffer, while the left all but encourages illegal immigration. New York is a “sanctuary city” where the state prohibits federal law enforcement from deporting illegals. I guess they’re just trying to “buy” votes. They don’t really care about the people at all.

Yes, the open immigration thing isn’t working so well, but the solution isn’t selfishness. Closing the border will only cause more suffering.
Instead of laughing, we should be thinking of other solutions that actually help people. There must be some form of aid the US can give Latin America so they don’t feel the need to come.
