SHOCKING: Secular Israeli Lifeguard Says: If I See Religious Person Drowning, I’ll Ignore Her

29

JERUSALEM (VINnews) — In a video clip published on social media , a female lifeguard can be heard talking to the social activist Shimon Cohen in Tiberias, who was looking to hire a lifeguard for the municipal beach. The call took a rapid turn for the worse when the lifeguard heard where she would be deployed.

“Is this a separate beach?” the lifeguard asks, referring to the separation by gender that is practiced at many Israeli beaches. Cohen answers in the affirmative.

“I’d be willing to take the job,” the lifeguard continues, but I should warn you ahead of time – if I see a religious woman drowning, I’m going to ignore her. I can’t stand religious people.”

“That’s fine,” Cohen answered. “If you see a haredi woman drowning, don’t jump in after her, because we’d rather she drown than that an impure woman like you touch her.”

The conversation demonstrates the current shrill levels of incitement against the religious public, which is seen as the main benefactor of judicial reforms in Israel.

The human rights organization Btsalmo has petitioned for a police investigation of the woman in question, claiming that her statements are tantamount to confessing to aiding murder.

Many years ago a patient came to my office. He was a secular Israeli who moved to New York. He started telling me how much he hated Chareidim, giving me all the standard excuses. After about five minutes I told him that I was Chareidi. He thought I was joking but I told him I don’t have a TV etc. He finally agreed that I was Chareidi, but we got along. If people get to know each other rather than judge based on labels there can be rapprochement.

No No No, let’s be nice to her! It’s probably our fault! I am sure that if we love her, she’ll automatically jump in to save her. Blah Blah Blah.

These irreligious scumbags hate the Charaidim regardless. Tumah cannot stand Kedushah.

Sadly, not shocking at all. Seen many examples of pure hate from the chilonim for over 3 decades.

Although this is just one crazy secular person saying it. I’ve posted here many times that the hate from Secular Israelis to Frum people is worse than the hate from non-Jews to Jews in general.

And if a chareidi life guard had made the identical comment about chiloni women, it would be the opening story on every newscast.

It’s not at all shocking. That’s exactly what Zionism is all about. Zionism is diametrically opposed to Jews and Judaism. But the idolatry of Zionism doesn’t let some people understand that basic fact.

It was just a figure of speech and she probably didn’t mean it.

Should Secular Israelis love “charedi” who want to take their RIGHTS away, who 75% males do not work, 95% do not serve in IDF? Judging from all the hateful comments on this site, it seems that hate is all that’s taught in yeshiva and at home. Sadly most folks don’t love frum Jews and frum Jews hate others from other frum kollheiml and dynasties, etc.
