RFK was accompanied by former NYS Assemblyman Dov Hikind, who defended RFK JR. in recent days.
Kennedy wrote a letter asking for blessings, and entered the Ohel structure where he prayed silently.
Prior to the visit, RFK Jr. sat for an interview with Hikind, and said that he was a “rock of Gibraltar” for Jews and the Jewish state, following the lead of his uncles, President John F. Kennedy and Sen. Ted Kennedy, his father, and Presidents Harry Truman and Franklin Roosevelt.
Hikind posted a video this week staunchly defending Kennedy, a Democrat presidential candidate, following controversial comments about Jews and Covid that many felt invoked antisemitic tropes.
He is planning to publish an interview with RFK later this week.
Tuesday, I visited the grave of the Lubavitcher Rebbe, Rabbi Menachem Schneerson, at Ohel Chabad-Lubavitch in Queens New York. The Rebbe was the most important Jewish spiritual leader of the 20th century and personally mentored some of America’s greatest Jewish leaders, including… pic.twitter.com/weDd9sQn3L

In 1964, while running for the US Senate, Robert F. Kennedy visited 770 Eastern Parkway to meet the Rebbe.
The Rebbe and Kennedy discussed many pressing issues of the time. The Rebbe highlighted a recent uptick of urban crime and the spike in drug abuse, especially among youth, and the need for a deeper, values-based education. They discussed government funding for religious schools, education, and other topics.
1 minute,
didn’t dov say he just switched to the Republican party ?
Don’t forget. Once a politician always a politician. I like Mr. Hikind because he’s a staunch supporter of the Jewish people. But we must always be wary of politicians. It’s a profession that breeds corruption.
Ariel Sharon also met with the Lubavitcher Rebbe, as did Netanyahu.
Can a Cohen come to the Rebbe’s kever? Is there a special entrance way for Kohanim?
