Magen David Adom (MDA) EMTs and paramedics as well as an IDF regional medical unit  treated the two men in their 30s, who were fully conscious with mild head wounds caused by glass shrapnel, and evacuated them to Beilinson Hospital.

An MDA medic said that it was a “miracle” the victims were not directly struck by the gunfire.

The shooting was carried out from a passing car. Security forces are hunting for the terrorist, who fled the scene.

The IDF stated that: ” A short while ago, a shooting attack was carried out toward civilians driving in their vehicle at the Bitot Junction. Two civilians were injured from glass shards.

“IDF soldiers and Magen David Adom paramedics provided initial medical treatment at the scene. The civilians were evacuated in light condition and fully conscious to receive further medical treatment in a hospital. IDF soldiers are pursuing the terrorists and have set up roadblocks in the area.”

Huwara has been the scene of several deadly terror attacks in recent months which led to the murder of four Israeli civilians and to several light and serious injuries.
