The bus was standing at a bus stop in the Bayit V’Gan neighborhood, when it began to slide and hit several parked vehicles, stopping not far from the Wolfson shul, where about 1,500 people were located. The accident took place on Motzei Yom Kippur.

According to Israeli media, rescue team paramedic Itai Shimaonov and rescue team medics Yoni Stern and Shmuel Adler said: “When we arrived at the scene, we saw a bus that apparently drove down the street (out of control), hitting several vehicles until it stopped [while colliding with] one of the cars. About seven people were slightly injured, including three children. We gave them initial treatment on the spot, including dressings and fixations, and some of them were sent to the hospitals for further treatment.”

Students from a nearby yeshiva witnessed the frightening incident unfold, and spontaneously began to sing and dance in praise of Hashem, recognizing the miraculous scene, in which a great tragedy was averted.
