The airport was forced to close Terminal A — used by Spirit and Frontier airlines — as floodwaters bombarded the facility.

Photos and videos posted online showed the terminal covered in water as frantic passengers tried to flee.

One woman shared footage on TikTok of water rising over her feet and seeping through the building’s doors.

Another video by influencer Batsheva Haart showed a car struggling to drive through the disturbingly high water levels on surrounding roads.

All of the Spirit flights from that terminal were canceled until 3 p.m., while Frontier said it would fly its two remaining flights from another Terminal.

As of 1 p.m., LaGuardia reported 44 delays and 50 cancellations, according to the NY Post.

John F. Kennedy Airport reported 42 delayed flights and nine cancellations.
