Chaverim of Rockland received three reports of Jews being shot at, as they walked to and from shul on Motzei Shabbos.

Two of the incidents occurred in Airmont, where the people walking were shot at from a passing car, and one incident took place in the Bates and Horton neighborhood of Monsey.

One incident took place at the intersection of Smith Hill Road and Sumter Road in Airmont, where two women were targeted while walking to Shul. The suspect was reportedly driving an older model Dodge Grand Caravan.

Baruch Hashem, no one was injured in any of the attacks. In addition to Chaverim, Ramapo police is investigating as well.

“Chaveirim received conflicting reports of what the passing car looked like, so it is possible that the victims were unsure from which passing car the shots came,” Yossie Margaretten of Chaveirim of Rockland was quoted in Hamodia. “As of now, we are not certain if the incidents are linked to each other, or if they had any connection to the recent warfare in Eretz Yisrael.”

Ramapo Police, in collaboration with Chaverim Of Rockland, urge anyone with information to contact the Ramapo Police at 845-357-2400 or Chaverim Of Rockland at 845-371-6333.

In addition, Jews were reportedly targeted by BB gun shooters in Brooklyn on Simchas Torah day. According to a source, a frum resident on the block of Lawrence Avenue and McDonald was shot with a BB gun from a rooftop. An hour later, two teenage boys who also reside on the block, were attacked from the same rooftop.

The building from which the BB gunshots were fired houses some Middle Eastern Arab tenants, leading to suspicions of an anti-Semitic attack, particularly in light of the ongoing strife in Israel.
