JERUSALEM (VINnews) — Although information is intentionally limited on Israel’s activities in the Gaza strip, it has been cleared for publication that IDF forces are active on the ground in Gaza and have succeeded in neutralizing numerous terrorists and terror strong points, including several underground tunnels. One IDF officer was seriously injured by mortar fire and another lightly injured.

IDF spokesman Daniel Hagari said that Israel is “broadening the offensive in Gaza and bringing more forces in. At the same time, in the north we attacked Hezbollah positions and infrastructure as they continue to attack us. Any Hezbollah unit near the border will be eliminated.”

He added that “311 IDF and police families have been notified of the falling of their loved ones, and 230 people were kidnapped. The military pressure we are bringing to bear will assist in bringing back these people to their families. Hamas is cynically exploiting hospitals to use as command positions.”
The Shifa Hospital is not only the largest hospital in Gaza but it also acts as the main headquarters for Hamas’ terrorist activity.

IDF describes hospital headquarters of Hamas
During Sunday morning rockets and shrapnel fell in many locations both in the Western Negev as well as in Rishon Letzion, Ramat Gan and Herzliya. There were no injuries reported but some damage was caused in these incidents.
