NEW YORK (VINnews) — In the wake of severe criticism of major news outlets over their use of photojournalists who accompanied the Hamas massacre, CNN, one of the outlets which used the journalists has decided to suspend all ties with Hassan Eslaiah, one of those who documented the atrocities.

“We are aware of the article and photo concerning Hassan Eslaiah, a freelance photojournalist who has worked with a number of international and Israeli outlets. While we have not at this time found reason to doubt the journalistic accuracy of the work he has done for us, we have decided to suspend all ties with him.”

AP’s response to the accusations was different. First they stressed that “The Associated Press had no knowledge of the Oct. 7 attacks before they happened.

The news outlet added that “The role of the AP is to gather information on breaking news events around the world, wherever they happen, even when those events are horrific and cause mass casualties.

“AP uses images taken by freelancers around the world, including in Gaza.”

Former Israeli consul general in New York Asaf Zamir shared his dismay over the findings published by HonestReporting, which had questioned the ethics of journalists accompanying terrorists on a mass murder spree.

Zamir equated the presence of photojournalists at the scene of the massacre to “Taliban or Al Qaeda tipping off a news network about the twin towers on 9/11 and instead of preventing it, they came to photograph it.”

“Do you understand how it makes us feel?” he asks in a video uploaded to social media platform X (formerly Twitter).

National Unity leader Benny Gantz said that the reporters present at the massacre “have the same status as the terrorists.”

Trump was right the media is the enemy of the people. And I’ll tell you something else. You know how they cry that like 80 journalists were killed since the Gaza invasion? Firstly, no one asked them to go to a war zone and if you do then too bad if you die. But aside for that how many were really just “independent” journalists looking to report the truth and how many were really Hamas members maybe looking to find every dead Gaza child and photo it or whatever they need to do for Hamas PR.
