UNITED KINGDOM (VINnews) — The BBC, which should be called the ‘Bigoted Broadcasting Corp’ due to its blatant antisemitism, apologized Wednesday after an anchor ‘mistakenly’ said during a live broadcast that Israel’s siege of a Gaza hospital targeted medical staff and Arabic speakers.

The network later claimed that it misquoted a Reuters report which cited an IDF spokesperson saying almost the exact opposite of the BBC: “Our medical teams and Arabic speaking soldiers are on the ground to ensure that these supplies reach those in need.”

However the news anchor said the Israeli military was “targeting people including medical teams as well as Arab speakers” in Al Shifa hospital.

Another anchor later read out an on-air apology and the BBC issued a correction on its website. “What we should have said is that IDF forces included medical staff and Arabic speakers for this operation,” said the anchor. “We apologize for this error, which fell below our usual editorial standards.”

Amazingly, when mistakes like this happen, they always seem to depict Israel in a negative light. The ‘mistakes’ never seem to work in Israel’s favor.

Multiple Twitter users pounced on the BBC’s statement that the error “fell below our usual editorial standards.”

Talk show host Steve Hilton tweeted: ‘“This BBC “apology” says that their broadcasting of Hamas propaganda “fell below our usual editorial standards.” Actually, broadcasting Hamas propaganda IS the BBC’s editorial standard.”

In the same Reuters story, it reported Israeli troops were searching rooms and the basement areas in Al-Shifa, causing “global alarm.”

The UK national broadcaster has also been repeatedly ridiculed by top Israeli satirical show “Eretz Nehederet,” most recently with a skit just hours before the false claim was made.

I disagree with their apology. It definitely doesn’t not fall below their usual editorial standards.

Unfortunately, as Mark Twain said, “ A lie can travel halfway around the world while the truth is still putting on its shoes.”

This is yesterday’s news. By now, the bbc is probably back to their wicked ways…

Such media "mistakes" always go in one direction.

They are anti Israel so they see everything through an anti Israel lenses otherwise these kind of “mistakes” dont happen, otherwise ethereal would be no way to read Reuters and come up with what they did.
