NEW YORK (VINnews) — Jared Kushner and Ivanka Trump arranged a meeting last week between the Qatari Prime Minister and prominent American Jewish businessmen, according to Barak Ravid in Axios. The report said that the Qatari leader claimed that Presidents Bush, Obama, and Trump all encouraged his country to maintain relations with Hamas.

It added that at the exclusive meeting, PM Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani discussed his country’s efforts to secure the release of the hostages held captive by Hamas, and was also asked “tough questions” about his country’s relationship with the evil terror group.
Al Thani has been a key player in mediating talks between Israel and Hamas — especially regarding the release of hostages and the cease-fire.
According to the article, Al-Thani said Qatar was encouraged to host Hamas in 2006 by the Bush administration, and the two subsequent administrations also encouraged them to maintain ties.
He also reportedly said that Qatari funding for Hamas in recent years was transferred with Israel’s consent.
“Many of us came in with a negative perception of Qatar based on what we have been reading, and came away with a more nuanced understanding of the role they have been playing in Gaza, both historically and currently,” one of the participants tells Axios.
“We were impressed by the prime minister’s willingness to answer tough questions.”
But another participant said, “It was an intense conversation at times and there was some skepticism among some of us at the end of the meeting.”
While it is not clear what the Kushners’ motives were for organizing the meeting, it is known that Jared Kushner has a business relationship with the Arab Gulf state.
After Trump left office, Kushner established a private equity fund for investments in the Persian Gulf region, and a Qatari company invested about $200 million in that fund, according to the New York Times.
Kushner and the Qatari prime minister became close during the Trump administration, when they led negotiations on ending a rift between Qatar and other Arab nations in the Gulf.

The Qatari leader acts like a fireman that sets fires and than comes with the fire brigade to put them out so he could be seen as a hero.
We all know from Obama. But Trump, too? Wow.
It’s a pity we don’t have great people like Jarred in top government today.
