JERUSALEM (VINnews) — With chilling accuracy, the Walls of Jericho plan presented to the IDF’s senior military echelons in 2022 corresponds to the Oct. 7th incursion and attacks by Hamas on Israel.

The presentation, prepared by the intelligence section of the Gaza brigade which controls the border with Hamas, described a situation where the border, dubbed the Walls of Jericho, is pierced in 65 places by massed Hamas attackers who succeed in penetrating into Israel and overrunning military bases and civilian communities.

The presentation, consisting of 40 or 50 slides, was shown to Major-General Aharon Haliva, head of the IDF military intelligence, and to Major-General Eliezer Toledano, who headed the Gaza brigade at the time. The presentation describes Hamas shooting down cameras, using motorcycles and vehicles, using rockets as a diversion, using drones, reaching places like Ofakim and Sderot.
Haliva dismissed the presentation, believing that Hamas was making exhibition drills and wanted economic prosperity rather than war. Even when the presentation was resubmitted in August 2023, it was not immediately taken seriously, and a discussion of its implications was due to take place after Simchat Torah- when it unfortunately became a prophetic harbinger of what eventually happened.
Wondering if and how the anti judicial reforms affected this fiasco. Demonstrations, Biden pressure, internal threats of boycotts by military people , hysteria, took eyes off the ball.
What I would like to hear an answer to is why were the warnings completely dismissed? Meaning, why didn’t they err on the side of caution? (I am talking ‘al pi teva’ I realize The RBSO runs the world)
Where’s the evidence it was ever presented? It’s all a claim at this point, from one camp of anti government people
