JERUSALEM (VINnews) — In one of several poignant ceremonies which took place in Gaza marking Chanukah, a large menorah was lit in the central Palestine Square in northern Gaza, testifying to the victory of the Jewish spirit as the descendants of the Maccabees continue to wage war against the enemies of the Jewish nation.

“…testifying to the victory of the Jewish spirit as the descendants of the Maccabees continue to wage war against the enemies of the Jewish nation.” Who comes up with this stuff? Unlike Zionism which exists specifically to destroy Judaism, the Maccabees were defending not Jews specifically – but rather the Torah – from the Zionists of the time, the Hellenists (and the Greeks).
