“As the holiday break begins in Hollywood, I have some Jeopardy! news. Sony has informed me that I will no longer be hosting the syndicated version of Jeopardy!” Bialik wrote in her statement.
She added, “I am incredibly honored to have been nominated for a primetime Emmy for hosting this year and I am deeply grateful for the opportunity to have been a part of the Jeopardy! family. For all of you who have supported me through this incredible journey and to the fans, contestants, writers, staff and crew of America’s Favorite Quiz Show, thank you.”
She said Sony informed her of its decision to have just one host for the coming season, which the company later confirmed.
Love the color choice for Mayim’s announcement. 🇮🇱

“Mayim Bialik has announced she will no longer be hosting the syndicated version of Jeopardy!” a spokesperson for the show shared on Friday. “We made the decision to have one host for the syndicated show next season to maintain continuity for our viewers, and Ken Jennings will be the sole host for syndicated Jeopardy!”
“We are truly grateful for all of Mayim’s contributions to Jeopardy!, and we hope to continue to work with her on primetime specials,” the statement concludes.
Bialik won a prime-time Emmy nomination for hosting this year, and had split hosting responsibilities with Jennings
Earlier this year she had stopped appearing on the show after declaring her support for the Hollywood writers’ strike.
It is unclear why Bialik was fired. She has been very vocal on political issues, and most recently the proud Jewish host has been an outspoken supporter of Israel.
In October Bialik posted a heart-wrenching Instagram post, describing her feelings on the current situation. Bialik prefaced her words by saying: “Imagine that there was a massacre- say of 50,000 Americans [the proportionate number of Americans to the amount of Israelis massacred on Simchas Torah] and imagine that around the world there were tens of demonstrations calling for further massacres- this is how we feel right now.”
She added that she is shocked at the “swiftness with which the world adopts the Palestinian narrative.
This is an excerpt from MSNBC:
A self-identified Zionist, Bialik has also weighed in on the Israel-Hamas war. In October, she filmed an Instagram reel in which she and Israeli actor Noa Tishby discuss Hamas — including Tishby saying that it is “coming for Israel first, and America and the rest of the Western world next” — in the format of a “Jeopardy!” episode.
Because she publicly defended the Jewish women that were raped and murdered in Israel on October 7th.
BeH this will bring her even closer to Torah and mitzvos
The firing squad’s case was that: bialik=zionisim=racism
It seems that you have to have a pro Pali opinion to keep your position otherwise, your gone
One does not win an Emmy nomination- one can get nominated for an Emmy and then win
no.. no.. no! she was fired because she had an annoying habit of taking a discernable breath before affirming or conveying the correct response for each clue, which disrupted the smooth flow of the game. she also seemed ‘stiff’ during the interview section…
She was not chosen because K.Jennings was better in the role.
Period.
It has nothing to do with Israel. She picked the strikers over the company, and now the company will get their revenge by not bringing her back.
No biggie, she can go back to hawking her useless supplements and claiming she’s a neuroscientist. Even though she’s NEVER worked as one, written a paper, or had anything published. Simply getting a neuroscience degree does not make you a scientist.
Her heart is in Israel and she belongs there too.
