NYC (VINnews) — A Manhattan cafe has experienced two antisemitic attacks in just four days. Hummus Kitchen on 2nd Avenue was targeted by a woman who tried to cover an Israeli-American flag, pushed an employee, and made a rude gesture to staff, according to the NY Post, citing police and social media videos.

That disturbing incident came just days after a different woman tried to tear down the flag in an antisemitic rampage before throwing soup at an employee.
The owner of the establishment is frustrated at the city for not doing more to prevent the attacks, and feels like she needs to fend for herself.
“I’m worried about my employees. I want them to feel comfortable,” owner Sharon Hoota, who is Israeli, told The Post.
“Of course I’m angry . . . and I’m very sorry that we need to feel scared to show our flags. The city doesn’t do anything to help us feel more protected.”
Hoota added, “I am amazed that those entitled individuals just walk into a restaurant and brazenly attack personnel and deface property. They made it very clear that we are a target because of our national origin, and chose destruction as a form of protest. We are not making any political claims. Israeli is what I am. It’s my identity, and food is a source of unity and peace for me.
“I guess peace [is] not everyone’s plate of hummus.”
“I voted for Eric [Adams] with a hope that he can restore order in the city,” Hoota added.
“On Oct. 7, he spoke eloquently how we are not all right when Jews and Israelis are attacked. I am not sure how those words materialized — so far we are not feeling protected.”
“We feel that we are left to fend for ourselves, exposed to any lunatic who comes along. . .“

Protection from who the NYPD who turns their back on incidents like this the governor who will only pay lip service. Or our wonderful president who gets lost going around the corner..The only help we can rely on is from heaven…
This incident, like many others, shows that Jew-hating and violence and threats against Jews that have nothing to do with Israeli govt or IDF is now normal with pro-hamas fiends. They need to be confronted and stopped!
If she would temporarily change the sign outside her store to Hammas (instead of Hummus) Kitchen, she’ll probably be all right and make lots of money… just saying
