WASHINGTON (VINnews) — John Kirby got into a heated exchange with a reporter who made the ridiculous assertion that the United States has provoked Iran.
The Coordinator for Strategic Communications at the National Security Council flipped the entire line of questioning on the reporter.
The reporter asked Kirby if President Biden has widened and escalated the Israel-Hamas war by deploying naval forces to counter attacks by Iran-backed proxy groups on shipping vessels.
“That’s certainly turning things upside down, isn’t it?” a bewildered Kirby responded. “Wouldn’t you consider provocation launching ballistic missiles and drones at commercial [vessels]?”
He added, “I totally disagree with the premise of your question…we are not the ones who decided to attack commercial shipping in the Red Sea, the Houthis did that, and who is behind the Houthis? Iran…”
He added, “We are in a defensive posture.”
Our sad society has lost its comprehension of right and wrong, good and evil, light and dark.
It has mercy on the wicked and incriminates the righteous.
Lord have mercy.
President Trump is right, the news can be the enemy of the people..
How dare the United States defend maritime trade in the Red Sea when Iran has said that the Red Sea is THEIR domain? If a group of thugs are breaking into stores & stealing stuff, how dare a store get better locks & alarms? That’s just provoking the robbers!
Good for Kirby!
