Tal is an officer in the tank corps, who fought Hamas in Gaza for two straight months. His wife was pregnant with their first child.

Recently,Tal was injured and was being airlifted to a hospital in the South. While in transit, he was notified that his wife, Noi, was on the way to Hadassah Hospital in Jerusalem to deliver their baby.Tal asked that they take him to Hadassah instead.

The wounded soldier was given emergency treatment but still managed to make it to the delivery room for the birth of their son.

I am a Chareidi, anti-Zionist Torah jew, accomplished in Torah knowledge (without going into detail). The picture coupled with the story is heartwarming and inspiring. As noted in the comments, many Torah Jews don’t view anything on the internet and that is fine. As for those who do, yet still believe there should be no pictures of women at all, they shouldn’t lambast VINnews, they should just quickly scroll past the picture or exit the article. There is a famous maaseh in Shas (a”z 20a): Rebbe Akiva praised the beauty of a woman and the gemora asked how he was allowed to look at her. The gemora answered: he was looking in a particular direction when she came around the corner. Of course, he immediately stopped looking, but he didn’t deny the mitzius, that she was a beautiful creation of Hashem!

I know lots of married women who don’t cover their hair but are considered religious. If this is how the woman usually goes around, are you going to say no one can look or talk to her because she doesn’t cover her hair? I don’t know where you non-tznius haters live, but maybe it’s time to crawl out of your boxes and see the rest of the world. There are all different types of Jews in this world and they individually choose how to serve Hashem.

1. What a beautiful story!
2. What a beautiful family!
3. There is no Heimishe Rov who condones being on the internet.
4. Anyone who refers to an IDF soldier in Gaza as anything other than Holy in defending Klal Yisroel, is either a Chusid Shoiteh, part of the Erev Rav, or worse, an NK Roidef.
5. The ads that one sees when on VIN, or any internet site, are 1 of the reasons for #3 above.
6. Nothing wrong with the picture attached to the article.
