IDF Names Soldier Killed In Southern Gaza And Another In Road Accident

JERUSALEM (VINnews) — BDE: The IDF announced Wednesday evening that two soldiers had fallen in the line of duty during the previous day.

Staff Sergeant Oriya Ayimalk Goshen, 21 from Jerusalem, a soldier in the Givati Reconisiance Unit, fell in battle with terrorists in the southern Gaza Strip. Two other soldiers were seriously wounded in the same battle.

Master Sergeant (Res.) Anwar Serhan, 26, from the northern Druze town of Hurfeish, a soldier in the 910th Battalion of the Etzion Regional Brigade, was killed in a car accident near Gush Etzion while on duty in Judea and Samaria.

Sgt. Goshen, the sixth graduate of the Himmelfarb high school in Jerusalem to fall in the Swords of Steel campaign, will be laid to rest at 12 pm Thursday at the military cemetery on Mount Herzl. He is survived by his parents and two siblings.
