One thing: the UN did not give the land to Israel. The UNGA doesn’t have any authority. All the UN did was recommend that the Brits split the land into 2 countries. That recommendation was denied.
When Israel declared independence, it was the only country to emerge from “Mandatory Palestine”, this Israel inherited the full area.
