IDF Announces Name Of Soldier Who Fell In Northern Gaza Fighting

JERUSALEM (VINnews) — BDE: The IDF Spokesperson’s Unit announced on Wednesday morning the name of a fallen soldier whose family has been notified:

Staff sergeant Abraham Ovagen, 21, from Netanya, fell in battle in the northern Gaza Strip. In addition, three soldiers were seriously injured in battles in the northern Gaza Strip, as the IDF seeks to maintain control of the region while pushing further south in Khan Younis towards Rafah.

The soldiers were evacuated to hospital for medical treatment, and their families have been notified.

Avraham grew up in Netivot but spent the last two years with his mother in Netanya.He is survived by his 11 siblings. Dersa, Avrahams’ brother described him as “calm, friendly and always smiling- a tall, goodlooking boy with a huge heart.”

Avraham will be laid to rest in the Har Herzl military cemetery at 4 PM on Wednesday.
